Perham Lakeside Golf Course: Located three miles south of Sunny Bay Resort, Lakeside Golf Course is a first class golfing experience. From the Lakeside Golf website: “Lakeside offers 27 holes of championship golf and a first class practice facility. The Maple, Oak, and Pine courses boast beautiful fairways, scenic natural wetlands and flowing elevation changes, ending in spectacular approaches to our well-manicured greens. Our clubhouse has a well-equipped golf shop and Lakeside Tap, an inviting bar and restaurant facility that features an event center capable of serving up to 450 guests for tournaments, weddings, or other special events. Outdoor patio seating available.”


PACC: Perham Area Community Center: Located four miles south of Sunny Bay Resort in the city of Perham, the PACC fitness center offers brand new cardio and weight lifting workout rooms. Undergoing a massive remodel and addition in 2022, the PACC includes 140,000 square feet of workout and fitness space including a therapy pool, six lane lap pool, child adventure playland, basketball courts, walking track and meeting rooms.

Dining: the Perham area features a variety of dining options to fit every budget and appetite. Gathering Grounds Coffee Café is located along First Ave in Perham and is an excellent spot for breakfast and lunch. Enjoy a latte or a breakfast wrap in the morning or a gourmet sandwich and a lavender lemonade for lunch. Itasca State Park (one hour drive): Established in 1891, Itasca is Minnesota's oldest state park. Today, the park totals more than 32,000 acres and includes more than 100 lakes. Walk across the mighty Mississippi as it starts its winding journey 2,552 miles to the Gulf of Mexico. Stand under towering pines and visit landmarks of centuries gone by throughout the park. Camp under the stars or stay the night in one of our 45 overnight units. Explore Wilderness Drive past the 2,000-acre Wilderness Sanctuary, one of Minnesota's seven National Natural Landmarks.


Maplewood State Park (35 minute drive): Fall colors of orange, red and gold abound at Maplewood during the month of September! Come experience eight lakes within the boundary of the Park, plus extensive trails for hiking and horseback riding. Maplewood State Park boasts several miles of the North Country Trail, a hiking trail across eight states and covering 4,800 miles.
